one year ago...

this picture was taken last year sometime around pilar's 5th birthday. noni & babu took the 3 of us on a special trip to the monterrey bay aquarium. i simply love this picture of pilar. she still looks so young and sweet here. she has changed so much within the past year- she is really growing in to a young girl and out of her preschool sweetness. don't get me wrong, she is still sweet but in an entirely different way than she was a year ago.



this picture was not too much later. bright eyed and adorable. little did we know at this time that mateo was on his way. how lucky we are to have him in our lives. i am excited to see what kind of 5 year old he will become. for now he continues to be a sweet little blue eyed nursling.

and mateo is addicted to milk...

i am not sure what's in my milk but clearly it's doing the trick.
i think he'll be 20 lbs by easter!

pilar is addicted to photo booth...

i seem to either have a budding photographer or narcissist on my hands. the girl loves to take pictures of herself. i find new pictures on my computer each week that pilar has taken of herself unbeknownst to me. they make me laugh. if only i knew what was going on in her head sometimes...it would be fascinating for sure.
